Abstract:
This imaging device comprises: a display means for displaying a video obtained by an imaging means; an output means for outputting the video to an external apparatus; a processing means capable of switching and executing a plurality of operations, including a first operation for capturing the video in a different imaging format setting during a wait for capturing an image than during capturing of an image, and a second operation for capturing the video in one and the same imaging format setting both during a wait for capturing an image and during capturing of an image; and a control means which permits execution of the first operation by the processing means when the video is not being output by the output means to the external apparatus, and prohibits execution of the first operation by the processing means when the video is being output by the output means to the external apparatus.
