Abstract:
Provided is an imaging device that operates according to a global shutter method. The imaging device includes two memory circuits in each pixel, and retains data to be output to a CDS circuit. Therefore, image data with reduced noise can be acquired. Further, the two memory circuits are provided with a transistor that has a metal oxide in a channel forming region. An OS transistor has an extremely small off current, and thus the flow out of a charge from a storage node can be suppressed. Therefore, degradation of the image data during the reading time period can be suppressed, and high-quality image data can be obtained.
