Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an imaging device capable of operating at a faster speed with lower power consumption, with respect to a column signal processing system which includes a successive comparison type analog-digital converter. [Solution] An imaging device of the present disclosure comprises: a pixel array unit having a plurality of pixels, each of which includes an opto-electric conversion element; a column amplifier unit that takes the difference between a signal component and a reset component input through a signal line from each pixel of the pixel array unit, and that outputs the difference as a pixel signal; a capacitance unit that holds the pixel signals input from the column amplifier unit; and a successive comparison type analog-digital conversion unit that converts the analog pixel signals input from the capacitance unit to digital signals. The capacitance unit uses a reference voltage prescribing a zero voltage of the pixel signals to differentiate single-phase pixel signals input from the column amplifier unit.
