Abstract:
The present technique pertains to an imaging device and electronic equipment that make it possible to enlarge the dynamic range of the imaging device without degrading the image quality. Provided are: a first photoelectric converter; a second photoelectric converter for which the amount of charge converted per unit of time is smaller than that of the first photoelectric converter; a charge storage part for storing the charge generated by the second photoelectric converter; a charge-voltage converter; a first transfer gate part for transferring the charge from the first photoelectric converter to the charge-voltage converter; a second transfer gate part for combining the potential of the charge-voltage converter and the charge storage part; a third transfer gate part for transferring the charge from the second photoelectric converter to the charge storage part; an overflow path, formed on the bottom of the gate electrode of the third transfer gate part, for transferring charge that overflowed from the second photoelectric converter to the charge storage part; and a light reducing part for reducing light that impinges on the second photoelectric converter. The present technique is applicable to an imaging device, for example.
