Title:
IMAGING DEVICE AND ENDOSCOPE HAVING DISTANCE IMAGE MEASURING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/027739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
When the depth of field is great, the image is focused over a wide range. Therefore, the perspective is lost, and the absolute size of the object cannot be known. According to the inventions, a distance image to each part of the object is obtained using a distance image sensor. From geometrical relation using the distance in the depth direction, the equidistance distribution in a plane where the object is projected as a two-dimensional image is overwritten as a meshed scale so that the size of the object can be measured. Consequently, a scale capable of measuring the actual dimensions of the object can be shown on the image.
