Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide technology for reducing false focusing of contrast AF. One representative imaging device of the present invention comprises: an imaging unit that generates a video signal by capturing a subject image formed through an optical system; a band correction unit that reduces a low-frequency component from the video signal and generates a video signal for AF detection; an AF detection unit that finds a contrast evaluation value CT from the video signal for AF detection; and a focus control unit that controls a focusing position of the optical system in the direction in which the contrast evaluation value CT increases. The low-frequency component is preferably a component in a spatial frequency band of signal unevenness caused by low contrast, such as fog or mist, for example.
