Abstract:
Provided are an imaging device and a method for controlling an imaging device, wherein a blackout period of a live view image can be shortened when continuously capturing still images by moving each of a front curtain and a rear curtain. When continuously shooting images, a focal plane shutter is transitioned to a normally open state to enable a live view image to be displayed during continuous shooting. After the transition to the normally open state, a first curtain moving preparation is performed, wherein an electromagnet for the front curtain and an electromagnet for the rear curtain are excited to block the rotation of a second front curtain driving lever and a second rear curtain driving lever, and the second front curtain driving lever and the second rear curtain driving lever are moved from a charge position to a non-charge position. From a point in time later than the starting point of the first curtain moving preparation, a second curtain moving preparation is performed, wherein the blocking of the movement of the front curtain in the closing direction by a front curtain lock lever is released, and an exposure aperture is fully closed by moving the front curtain in a closing direction.
