Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to an imaging device, an imaging method, a program, and an image processing apparatus which are able to generate a color image having high color reproducibility. The present invention is provided with: an imaging element which reads a first electric charge signal using a focal plane reading system during a first reading period which is a part of a first subframe period, reads a second electric charge signal using the focal plane reading system during a second reading period which is a part of a second subframe period, generates a first subframe image using the first electric charge signal, and generates a second subframe image using the second electric charge signal; an emission control unit which performs controlling so as to emit infrared light during an emission period which is the whole or a part of a period that is within the first subframe period excluding the first reading period, and so as not to emit infrared light during a period other than the emission period; and a color image generation unit which generates a color image at a predetermined frame rate on the basis of the first subframe image and the second subframe image. This disclosure is applicable to, for example, a monitoring camera.
