Abstract:

The present disclosure pertains to an imaging device, imaging method and program which make it possible to easily set the type of imaging subject on which to focus per image capture. An image sensor captures an image. An operation unit selects the type of imaging subject on which to focus per imaging unit of an image captured by the image sensor. When the type of imaging subject on which to focus is selected by the operation unit, a microcomputer detects the region for an imaging subject of that type from the image, and sets the detected region as the focus region for the image. The present disclosure is applicable to imaging devices, for example.
