Abstract:
An imaging device according to the present invention comprises: a user operation detection unit that detects an operation by a user on a focus control; a focus position movement detection unit that detects, on the basis of the operation by the user as detected by the user operation detection unit, the movement of a focus position; a depth information detection unit that detects depth information inside a focus control subject region; and a focus control unit that sets a target focus position on the basis of the movement of the focus position and the depth information. With this invention, there is proposed a technique for implementing focus control that better follows the intention of the user.
