Abstract:
A light source 112 in an illumination device 110 generates frequency-modulated continuous waves S0. A patterning device 114 modulates the frequency-modulated continuous waves S0 using patterns that differ for each time slot to generate illumination light S1. A beat detection unit 120 generates a detection signal based on reflected light S2 received from an object and multiplexed light S3 of the frequency-modulated continuous waves S0. A calculation processing device 130 calculates a correlation, for each beat in the detection signal, between the intensity of the beat and the intensity distribution of the illumination light S1 to reconstruct a restored image of the object.
