Abstract:
Provided are an imaging device and imaging method that, when generating a bulb capture image by comparing/combining (lightness comparison combining or darkness comparison combining) image signals read out successively from an image sensor, perform correction in a manner such that the correction effect of FPN canceling increases, and thus improve image quality. When performing a long exposure such as a bulb capture, before acquiring a light frame by opening the shutter, a dark frame_1 is acquired in the state of the shutter shielding light, and after the long exposure has completed, a dark frame_2 is acquired in the state of the shutter shielding light. Also, when performing lightness comparison combining or darkness comparison combining, FPN processing is performed using either dark frame_1 or dark frame_2.
