Abstract:
The present invention provides an imaging device and an imaging method with which it is possible to obtain color image information that pertains to a subject with a monochrome light-receiving element without having to use a trichromatic illumination light comprising a red light, a green light, and a blue light. An imaging device 1 has an illumination device 5 that irradiates a subject 10 with a yellow light Ly, a magenta light Lm, and a cyan light Lc separately in time, and a monochrome light-receiving element 60. The light-receiving element 60 detects the intensity of a light emitted from the subject 10 when irradiated with the yellow light Ly, the intensity of a light emitted from the subject 10 when irradiated with the magenta light Lm, and the intensity of a light emitted from the subject 10 when irradiated with the cyan light Lc. The result of detection by this light-receiving element 60 is converted to red intensity, green intensity, and blue intensity by an arithmetic unit 14.
