Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an imaging device and monitoring device that make it possible to carry out accurate distance and shape measurement of an area of a subject for which direct measurement using a single distance measurement camera is difficult. [Solution] Provided is an imaging device comprising: a sensor unit for irradiating light onto a subject and detecting light reflected by the subject, a distance calculation unit for calculating the distance to the subject on the basis of sensing data from the sensor unit, a specular reflector that is positioned on the opposite side of the subject from the sensor unit, and a correction unit for correcting error that is included in the calculated distance and has been caused by interference between light that has traveled along a first path from the sensor unit to the subject and light that has traveled along a second path from the sensor unit, through reflection at the specular reflector, to the subject.
