Abstract:
An imaging device which comprises a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form, and lets a scanning circuit perform a main scanning and a sub−scanning to enable a time−series output of an image signal of each pixel, wherein the device is further provided with a scan control means for switching between a main scanning and a sub−scanning and switching among respective scanning directions, whereby a picked up image can be rotated or reversibly rotated quickly with no intervention of an intermediate medium such a buffer memory.
