Abstract:
An imaging device characterized in that a lens hood is constructed from a installation side base section and a front side tubular section, the base section and the tubular section being detachably joined together, and, when an additional lens is mounted in front of the optical system, the additional lens is received in the lens hood. In the imaging device, the lens hood can be left in place and used even while a conversion lens is used, a function of the lens hood to narrow incoming can be maintained, and the conversion lens can be detachably mounted.
