Abstract:
An imaging device for capturing video showing in its one frame a low-brightness object
and a high-brightness object both of which have improved qualities compared with
conventional ones. The imaging device (10) comprises an imaging element (11)
for outputting two video signals produced with different exposures, a kneeing section
(15) for kneeing the long-exposure signal produced with a long exposure of the
two video signals, a signal combining section (17) for combining the short-exposure signal
produced with a short exposure of the two video signals and the keened long-exposure signal,
and a level changing section (18) for changing the knee level which is the signal
level at the knee point of the kneeing in the video signal of one frame depending
on the signal level of the short-exposure signal.
