Abstract:
An imaging device having a small-sized device body and capable of obtaining an
excellent image. The electronic still camera (imaging device) (100) has a prism
body (2) having an inner refection surface (2b) for reflecting and deflecting
entering object light. The prism body (2) is rotatably installed inside a housing
(21), and the object light reflected and deflected by the inner reflection surface
(2b) of the prism body (2) is bent at an angle of 90 degrees and allowed to enter a
light receiving surface of a CCD (4). Also, the prism body (2) rotates in imaging
to open and block the light path for the object light to the CCD (4).
