Abstract:
Disclosed is an imaging device capable of preventing misalignments of a privacy zone and a mask when switching a magnification conversion lens. An imaging unit (3) comprises an extender (29) that is a magnification conversion lens that may be switched between an inserted state and a removed state relative to the optical axis. A signal processing circuit (5) creates a composite mask at a subject region of a privacy zone in an image generated by the imaging unit (3). A control unit (13) controls the signal processing circuit (5) according to the switching of the extender (29). When the extender (29) is switched, the controller (13) causes the signal processing circuit (5) to change the mask region in the image according to the magnification shift resulting from the switching of the extender (29) and maintains the masked state of the privacy zone after the switching of the signal processing circuit (5).
