Abstract:
An imaging device is equipped with: an imaging component, which includes at least first pixels for receiving, out of a subject light flux which enters through an optical system, a first partial light flux which is deflected in a first direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the optical system and second pixels for receiving a second partial light flux which is deflected in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and an image generation unit, which generates first parallax image data based on outputs from the first pixels and second parallax image data based on outputs from the second pixels. When the imaging component has captured an image of an object point located in an unfocused region of the optical axis, the pixel value of the center pixel corresponding to the optical axis is equal to or greater than 50% of the pixel value of the peak pixel in the first parallax image data, and the pixel value of the center pixel is equal to or greater than 50% of the pixel value of the peak pixel in the second parallax image data.
