Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an imaging device capable of reducing occurrence of flicker in an active illumination system by combining a plurality of light sources of which the wavelength bands are different from each other and by reducing a color difference among the light sources of required wavelengths. [Solution] The imaging device is provided with: a plurality of light sources 17 that emit light having different wavelengths; a light source selecting unit 22 which selects, from among the light sources 17, a plurality of selected light sources each of which emits light having a specified wavelength specified on the basis of the characteristics of an object 27 to be imaged; a light source extracting unit 24 which extracts, from among non-selected light sources other than the selected light sources, one that has such a wavelength as to, when the one non-selected light source and one of the plurality of selected light sources are combined, reduce a color difference between the one selected light source and the other selected light sources; the light source 17 that illuminates the object 27 to be imaged, by using a light source obtained by combining the selected one of the selected light sources and the extracted non-selected light source while sequentially switching the light source for each of the selected light sources; and an imaging element 11 that images the object 27 to be imaged, by using the illuminating light source.
