Abstract:

Between times t1 and t2, an imaging control unit of an imaging device performs small area search processing for performing processing for causing an imaging unit to generate partial image data (S1, S2, S3, …) and causing an evaluation value derivation unit to derive evaluation values of the partial image data multiple times while changing the focus position of a variable-focus lens, and on the basis of the derived plurality of evaluation values, detecting a focusing position (focus position L2) that is a focus position at which focusing is obtained. Between times t2 and t3, the imaging control unit performs normal image data generation processing for causing the imaging unit to generate normal image data P1 at a focus position L3 based on the detected focusing position (focus position L2).
