Abstract:
The present invention realizes an imaging device with which it is possible to determine whether or not the host vehicle is traveling straight ahead even while a mobile entity such as a vehicle is traveling a road, etc., without a white line or a similar other reference line. With imaging units 101, 101' successively imaging a stationary object 302 present around a host vehicle 300, the present invention determines whether or not the host vehicle 300 is traveling straight ahead using coordinates the origin of which is the tip of the bonnet of the host vehicle 300, depending on whether the track of the object 302 in the captured images is straight or not. It is thereby made possible to determine whether or not the host vehicle is traveling straight ahead even while a mobile entity such as a vehicle is traveling a road, etc., without a white line or a similar other reference line.
