Abstract:

Provided is an imaging device with which an image of the internal structure of an organism can be acquired with high precision over a wide range. An imaging device (10) comprises: a first housing (60) to which a proximal part of an outer sheath (20) is fixed, and through which an inner sheath (30) and a drive shaft (50) that drives a vibrator unit (40) penetrate; and a second housing (70) to which a proximal part of the inner sheath (30) is fixed, and which rotatably retains the drive shaft 50. The first housing (60) has a first port (62) that communicates with an inner cavity of the outer sheath (20). The second housing (70) can move toward and away from the first housing (60), and has a first gap (G1) between the inner sheath (30) and the outer sheath (20) and a second gap (G2) between the inner sheath (30) and the drive shaft (50). The first gap (G1) and the second gap (G2) communicate with each other on the distal side of the inner sheath (30).
