The present invention provides an imaging device having a storably and expandably supported display part (20).　A digital camera (100) has a display part (20) that is storably and expandably supported to a main body part (10). A support mechanism (40) of the display part (20) includes a hinge member (41) that supports the display part (20) rotatably about a first rotation axis J1 extending in a first direction D1, and a hinge member (42) that supports the hinge member (41) rotatably about a second rotation axis J2 extending in the first direction D1. A storage part (30) for the display part (20) has a lower wall section (35) facing a first end section E1 on the second rotation axis J2 side out of both end sections in a second direction D2 orthogonal to the first direction D1 of the display part (20), and a gap between the lower wall section (35) and the first end section E1 has a distance at which an end E1f on the side opposite to the main body part (10) of the first end section E1 comes into contact with the lower wall section (35) in a state where the display part (20) is rotated about the second rotation axis J2 from a second end section E2 side from a storage state where the display part (20) is stored in the storage part (30).
