Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to display the degrees of circularity of a luminal surface of a blood vessel along the blood vessel axis in a visually easy-to-understand manner. In order to achieve this, a tomographic image taken along the blood vessel axis is produced on the basis of data obtained by rotating an imaging core and moving the imaging core in the rotation axis direction. Simultaneously, an image indicating the degrees of circularity in tomographic images taken perpendicular to the blood vessel axis are displayed in parallel with the displayed tomographic image.
