Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the strength of an imaging element in which an isolating portion is disposed in a pixel boundary. The imaging element comprises a plurality of pixels, an isolating portion, a light-blocking film, and an isolating portion protection film. The plurality of pixels each include a photoelectric conversion portion formed in a semiconductor substrate and performing photoelectric conversion of incident light. The isolating portion is disposed in a boundary of the plurality of pixels and isolates the respective photoelectric conversion portions. The light-blocking film is disposed adjacent to the boundary of the plurality of pixels and blocks the incident light. The isolating portion protection film is disposed adjacent to the isolating portion and protects the isolating portion.
