Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an exceptionally durable imaging element making it possible to obtain a thinner imaging optical system without a reduction in imaging performance. [Solution] The imaging element of the present technique is provided with an on-chip lens, a low-refractive-index layer, and an infrared-absorbing layer. The on-chip lens is made of a high-refractive-index material. The low-refractive-index layer is formed flat on the on-chip lens and is made of a low-refractive-index material. The infrared-absorbing layer is made of an infrared-absorbing material containing an infrared absorbing pigment, and a binder resin, the binder resin being a synthetic resin made only of a siloxane backbone or a synthetic resin made of a siloxane backbone portion and a backbone having a low-reactivity oxygen portion, the infrared-absorbing layer being layered over the low-refractive-index layer.
