Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an imaging plate (IP) unit having improved handling properties, whereby the front and back of the imaging plate can easily be determined in a darkroom, and having improved durability with regard to suppressing the generation of scratches, and to an application of said imaging plate (a radiographic image-capturing device, method and template). A light-shielding IP cover 22 is attached detachably to an IP 21. The IP 21 has on one surface thereof a stimulable fluorescent material layer. The IP cover 22 is attached hermetically to the stimulable fluorescent material layer. The IP 21 and the IP cover 22 have notches 25, and parts of an object to be inspected enter the notches 25 during an inspection. The IP unit 11 is attached to a blade weld part 26a of a bladed wheel 26. Radiation is irradiated from a radiation irradiating device 12, and a radiographic image of the blade weld part 26a is recorded as a latent image on the IP 21. The IP cover 22 is removed from the IP unit 11, and the IP 21 is set in a template 30. The template 30 is used to set the IP 21 in an image reading position of a radiographic image reading device 13, and the radiographic image is read.
