Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an imaging support device and an imaging support method capable of reliably recognizing whether or not an image satisfies a required image quality, even if it is not possible to capture an image directly facing an imaging target surface. This imaging support device is provided with: a distance information acquiring unit (20) which acquires distance information relating to the distance from an imaging device (200) to an imaging target surface of a structure; an inclination angle information acquiring unit (22) which acquires inclination angle information relating to the imaging target surface of the structure; an actual pixel density calculating unit (24) which calculates the actual pixel density of the imaging target surface of the structure on the basis of imaging performance information (including imaging element pixel number information, imaging element pixel size information and focal distance information) relating to the imaging device (200), the distance information and the inclination angle information; and a pixel density determining unit (26) which determines whether or not the calculated actual pixel density conforms with required pixel density information.
