Abstract:
The imaging system (10) is provided with: an illumination unit 1 that emits illumination light on a photographic subject; a light adjustment unit 3 for adjusting the luminous flux quantity of the illumination light emitted by the illumination unit; an imaging unit 2 for capturing an image of the photographic subject using an image sensor and outputting an image signal; and a control unit 4 for controlling the light adjustment unit and the imaging unit. The control unit controls, via the light adjustment unit, the luminous flux quantity and/or emission duration of the illumination light emitted from the illumination unit in a synchronized manner with an imaging frame of the imaging unit. As an example, while using two consecutive imaging frames of the imaging unit as one cycle, the light adjustment unit adjusts the illumination unit such that luminous flux quantity L1 of the illumination light in a first frame of the imaging unit and luminous flux quantity L2 of the illumination light in a succeeding second frame are set to different values from each other.
