Abstract:
An imaging system has: an imaging unit (21) for imaging an optical image formed with an interchangeable lens (1) and outputting the imaging data at a prescribed sampling frequency; a super-resolution synthesis unit (26) and resizing unit (68) for generating higher-resolution image data from imaging data corresponding to a partial region within a screen; and a control unit (35) for determining the maximum resolution of the generated image data on the basis of an MTF characteristic value corresponding to the partial region among a plurality of MTF characteristic values, and the prescribed sampling frequency.
