Abstract:
Provided is an imaging system which controls imaging by means of the rolling shutter method so that there is a global exposure period (Ta) and a non-global-exposure period. In a first dimming mode, the light source of the illumination light is controlled so that while the amount of light of an illumination light is maintained at a given level during a first period (T1) within the global exposure period (Ta), the amount of light for the illumination light during a second period (T2), made up of the global exposure period (Ta) other than the first period (T1) and the non-global-exposure period (Tr), is made to fluctuate (CI1, CI2) in comparison to the immediately prior second period (T2).
