Abstract:
This imaging system is provided with: a light source device (3) which provides lighting; an image forming optical system (11) which forms an optical image of a subject at a variable focus position; an imaging unit (12) which images the optical image and outputs an image; a brightness detection unit (23) which detects the brightness of the image; an auxiliary AF unit (27) which estimates a provisional focus position on the basis of the brightness of the image detected by the brightness detection unit (23); a control unit (24) which configures, as a scan range, a range that contains the provisional focus position and is narrower than the whole scan range; and a contrast AF unit (26) which performs contrast AF within the scan range.
