Abstract:
The present invention includes: an index image generation unit (35) which reads a first still image signal based on a moving image from a recording unit (34) by a release switch, and generates a first index image signal representing a first index image which is a first still image that has been down-scaled on the basis of the read first still image signal and generates a second index image signal representing a second index image which is a second still image that has been down-scaled on the basis of an external image signal entered into an external image signal input unit by the release switch; and a synthesis unit (39) which overlays at least one index image of the first index image or the second index image on a display screen on which at least one of the moving image or an external image is displayed.
