Abstract:
This imbalance detection device detects the imbalance of a rotary body of a turbo cartridge, said turbo cartridge comprising the rotary body which is constructed by joining a turbine wheel and a compressor wheel together using a rotary shaft, and a bearing housing which contains bearings for rotatably supporting the rotary body. The imbalance detection device comprises: a turbine-side housing member for housing the turbine wheel; a compressor-side housing member for housing the compressor wheel; a support mechanism which is constructed so as to sandwich and support the turbo cartridge from both sides by pushing at least one of the housing members toward the turbo cartridge; vibration isolation members which are respectively interposed between the turbine-side housing member and the turbo cartridge and between the compressor-side housing member and the turbo cartridge; and a vibration sensor which is installed so as to be able to come into contact with the bearing housing, and which is capable of detecting vibrations during rotation of the rotary body.
