Abstract:
The present invention relates to an imide-based polymer colloidal dispersion for electrodeposition coating and a method for producing the same, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a first oligomeric amic acid and a second oligomeric amic acid, each acid having an amine and an acid anhydride at the respective terminals thereof; producing a polyamic acid having a controlled molecular weight through controlling the molar ratio of the first oligomeric amic acid and the second oligomeric amic acid; neutralizing the carboxylic acid formed in the polyamic acid by using a basic neutralizing agent comprising a polar amine and a lower polar amine; and adding water and an alcohol solvent to the neutralized polyamic acid to produce a polymer colloidal dispersion. Thus, the present invention can have the benefits of controlling the molecular weight of the polymer by mixing with the low molecular weight oligomer, controlling the size and dispersion stability of particles by means of a neutralizing agent of which the polar group is controlled, and controlling thickness and uniformity by coating an electrodeposition coating film with the same.
