Abstract:
Disclosed is an immersion type membrane filtration unit comprising a filtration membrane module in which a bundle of multiple hollow fiber membranes is fixed in a planar manner between upper fixing members and lower fixing members, wherein the filtration membrane module (10) of the immersion type membrane unit is placed as explained below to reduce power for aeration without hampering the effect of cleaning by air scrubbing. In the filtration membrane module (10), the upper fixing members (21) and the lower fixing members (22) fixing the hollow fiber membranes (11) are separated by a distance (D) of 1150 mm, the maximum length (L) of the hollow fiber membranes (11) is 1185 mm, the thickness (d) of a plurality of the lower fixing members (22) fixing the hollow fiber membranes (11) is 30 mm, and the bundle of hollow fiber membranes (11) is fixed, having a width (a) of approximately 20 mm, in the center in the thickness direction of the lower fixing members (22). Both lateral portions where the hollow fiber membranes (11) do not exist in the thickness direction of the lower fixing members (22) have a width (b) of 5 mm, and furthermore the lower fixing members (22) that are adjacent to each other are separated by a distance (c) of 3 mm to 7 mm.
