Abstract:
Disclosed is an immersion-type membrane separation apparatus having a novel structure, which enables a practically applicable level of washing of a separation membrane by means of an ultrasonic wave generated by an ultrasonic transducer and can exhibit steady filtration performance for a long period. An ultrasonic transducer (24) for washing and removing adherents adhered on a separation membrane (22) during the filtration of raw water (18) is provided. The adherents adhered on the separation membrane (22) is washed and removed by means of an ultrasonic wave irradiated from the ultrasonic transducer (24). The separation membrane (22) is made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
