Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: an immobilized catalyst obtained by immobilizing a metal complex in a polymer, said immobilized catalyst including a polymer represented by general formula (1) set forth in the description; a production method for the immobilized catalyst; a production method for a formate in which, in the presence of a solvent, a catalyst is used to produce a formate by reacting hydrogen with at least one compound selected from the group consisting of carbon dioxide, bicarbonates and carbonates, said catalyst being the above-mentioned immobilized catalyst; and a production method for formic acid that includes a step in which a formate is produced according to the production method for a formate, and a step in which at least a portion of the formate is protonated to generate formic acid.
