Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polypeptide that has a high binding capacity to immunoglobulin kappa chains and excellent alkali stability by modifying an amino acid sequence in immunoglobulin-binding domains of protein L derived from Peptostreptococcus magnus. A polypeptide having a high binding capacity to immunoglobulin kappa chains and excellent alkali stability is obtained by substituting a specific lysine residue with a basic amino acid or an amino acid having a hydroxyl group in immunoglobulin-binding domains of protein L derived from Peptostreptococcus magnus strain 3316.
