Abstract:
An immunological measurement device characterized by being provided with: a first compartment into which a reactive particle solution and a sample are introduced, wherein the reactive particle solution contains reactive particles each modified with a substance capable of causing an antigen-antibody reaction with a substance of interest and has electrical conductivity; a second compartment into which a liquid having electrical conductivity is introduced; a measurement vessel which has a volume smaller than a volume of a reaction solution, i.e., a solution containing the reactive particle solution and the sample, per one reaction particle, and which has a narrow hole through which the first compartment and the second compartment are connected to each other; a first electrode which is arranged inside the first compartment; a second electrode which is arranged inside the second compartment; a voltage source which can apply a voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode; a measurement section which measures a current or electric resistance flowing between the first electrode and the second electrode; a pulse signal detection section which detects the change in pulse of the current or the electric resistance measured in the measurement section; and a calculation processing section which compiles pulse signals detected by the pulse detection section within a predetermined time, calculates a percentage of aggregation of the reactive particles, and calculates the quantity of the substance of interest in the sample on the basis of the resultant percentage of aggregation.
