Abstract:
Provided is an immunological test method having high detection sensitivity. An immunological test method comprising a concentration step in which a superabsorbent polymer, a liquid that could contain an antigen, and a labeled antibody against the antigen are mixed together to obtain a concentration mixture that is a concentrated mixture containing complexes of the antigen and the labeled antibody, and a detection step in which an antigen-antibody reaction is used to detect the complexes in the concentration mixture, wherein the swelling ratio of the superabsorbent polymer is more than 0.2 g/g to less than 800 g/g.
