Abstract:
An impact absorbing device capable of being formed integral with a rope by a simple structure and a rope for a safety belt, the rope using the device. A portion of a rope (10) is spirally wound between ridge line sections (21a) of a winding member (21), and the rope (10) wound on the winding member (21) is fixed by a fixing member (22) covering the outer peripheral surface of the winding member (21). A rope body (11) can be pulled out from between the winding member (21) and the fixing member (22) while the ridge lines (21a) of the winding member (21) are broken by tensile force acting on the rope (10). The above structure enables an impact absorbing device (20) to be formed integrally with the rope (10), and as a result, the structure can be simplified and cost can be reduced.
