Abstract:
A technique for evaluating the impact-resisting characteristics of electrical insulation in generators, coils and similar electrical equipment. The magnitude of an impact signal applied to a generator coil is processed as a signal either directly or in some other suitable manner, and is then compared with a reference signal or the impact signal is frequency analyzed, thereby effectively evaluating the ability of the insulation to withstand impact.
