Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to reduce the possibility of overtightening a tightening member. An impact tool (1) comprises: a motor (15); a control unit (4); an output shaft; a transmission mechanism; and a strike detection unit (49). The transmission mechanism has an impact mechanism. The impact mechanism performs a strike operation which is in accordance with the magnitude of torque applied to the output shaft. The strike detection unit (49) detects the presence or absence of a striking action on the basis of an excitation current (current measurement value id1) and/or a torque current (current measurement value iq1) that are supplied to the motor (15). Using a strike response function, the control unit (4) executes restriction processing in response to the detection of a striking action by the strike detection unit (49). The restriction processing includes reducing the rotational speed of the motor (15) and/or stopping the motor (15).
