Abstract:
Provided is an impeller for a supercharger in which efficiency can be improved while size increase of the impeller is suppressed. An impeller (60) of a centrifugal supercharger (42) rotates in conjunction with a crankshaft (26) of an engine (E) installed in an automatic two-wheeled vehicle, and supplies intake air (I) to the engine (E). An inlet diameter (Ii) of the impeller (60) is set so that when the supercharger (42) is driven at the maximum allowable engine speed, the peripheral speed of the impeller (60) at an inlet-side distal end part (112) is greater than the speed of sound and equal to or less than 1.3 times the speed of sound.
