Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an impeller having a structure capable of delivering a fluid with high efficiency, even if the blade angle is determined without regard for the use conditions of the impeller. [Solution] This impeller 1 is provided with a central shaft part 3, and a plurality of blades 5 which are formed around the central shaft part 3. As a result of being rotated around a central axis CL of the central shaft part 3, the impeller causes a fluid flowing in between adjacent blades 5, 5 from a direction along the central axis CL of the central shaft part 3 to flow radially outwards. A flow rate increasing body 6 for increasing the flow rate of the fluid flowing in between the blades 5, 5 is provided to a tip portion 13 of the central shaft part 3. The flow rate increasing body 6 is provided with: an upstream side portion 6b having an external diameter which gradually increases from an end at the upstream side in the flow direction of the fluid towards the downstream side in the flow direction of the fluid; and a downstream side portion 6c which is positioned between the upstream side portion 6b and the tip portion 13 of the central shaft part 3, and which has, formed therein, a neck portion 14 having a smaller diameter than the maximum external diameter of the upstream side portion 6b.
