Abstract:
The present invention maintains a high mechanical strength over a prescribed period of time after implantation. The present invention provides an implant for a living body which comprises a base material composed of magnesium or magnesium alloy and an amorphous film that covers the surface of the base material, wherein the total content of magnesium element, oxygen element and phosphorus element in the film is 95 weight% or more.
