Abstract:
A hand operated self-contained apparatus for applying an image on a fingernail comprises a base (820) having an upper surface (852) defining a first cutout (844). An element (834) is provided to establish a reference point. An image creating plate (980) is received in the first cutout (844) for creating an image composed of an image defining coating material. A digit positioning member (870) receives, and positions a person's finger relative to the location of the created image. An orientation surface (864) is defined by the base (820) against which the free end of the finger bears to establish the appropriate orientation relative to the reference point (834). A transfer member (822) is mounted on the base (820), and is movable over the upper surface (852) for transferring the image from the image creating plate (980) to the fingernail.
